LIBERIA – A staunch member of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), Dr. Lester Tenny has described suspended Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Nathaniel McGill as evil and warned Liberians to not romanticize his sanction by the Americans.
Dr. Tenny told a Spoon Radio panel last evening that Mr. Nathaniel McGill has been implicated in a vicious crime and that the issue of him remaining in government is not debatable, adding McGill will have to go.
According to Dr. Tenny, President George Weah will have to lead, and if he fails to lead, he will be made to leave.
He pointed out that McGill is a ‘ notorious criminal”, who will not be allowed to continuously embarrass the ruling party. Dr. Tenny vowed that CDC members will lead the expulsion of McGill from the government and will not wait for the opposition to do so.
“McGill is evil, he lacks morals, we can not allow him to loot from our own people “, he said. “What the Americans did was to save Liberians, not Americans. McGill did not steal from Americans, it was from Liberians and the American intervention was to help Liberia from being looted by McGill and others.”
Dr. Tenny further said, corruption doesn’t benefit CDCians and that CDCians will resist any form of corruption whether committed by McGill or not. He indicated that he’s a patriot; and that he is first a Liberian before being a CDCian.
He told the radio show that corruption is a national issue, not political; and therefore people should stop romanticizing the issue. He accused McGill and others of hijacking the CDC for personal aggrandizement.
Tenny said CDC was not established to steal from its own people and that people who want to use the party to steal from it own people will be rejected.
