LIBERIA’S LISCR FC ASSEMBLE A 23-MAN SQUAD TO FACE SIERRA LEONE’S BO RANGERS

MONROVIA – Ahead of their CAF Champions League preliminary round 1st leg match with Sierra Leone’s Bo Rangers FC, Liberia’s champions, LISCR FC, have named a 23-man squad to face the Sierra Leoneans.

The Liberians are away to their Sierra Leonean counterparts on this Saturday, 19 August 2023, at the Bo Rangers FC-owned 6,000-capacity Southern Arena Stadium, located at Sierra Leone’s second-largest city, Bo Waterside.

The Liberian champions, who today, departed Liberia for Sierra Leone, earlier today, unveiled a contingent of 20 men poised to put up a fierce fight against Bo Rangers in their backyard.

In the LISCR FC squad to face Bo Rangers on Saturday, the “Shipping Boys”, as the Liberian champions are nick-named, will be without their captain, national team controversial goaltender Tommy Sango, as the club’s technical team led by Coach Sam Chebli has called up three goalies excluding the shot-stopper.

Meanwhile, LISCR FC, who are on their way to Sierra Leone via road, are travelling with a delegation of 39, including 23 players, nine members of the club’s technical staff, and five administrative staffers.

The delegation is headed by Cyrus Yeanay, an Executive Committee member of the local football house.

Other members of the LISCR FC delegation area: Abraham Sanor, the head of the club’s Advanced Team; Swen G. Bedell, Secretary General; and head coach, Samuel Chebli; former Lone Star player and LISCR FC deputy coach, Christopher Wreh; Emmanuel Tarpeh, Trainer; Jerry Bing, Goalkeeper Trainer; and Zayzay Kollie, Administrative Manager;

The rest are: Hassan George, Kit Manager; Francis Konneh, Deputy Kit Manager; Noakai Kamara, Team Doctor; James Mulbah, Utility Officer; Orlando J. Nyanti, Doctor; Emmanuel Smith, Masseur; and two drivers, Alhaji Saccoh, and Anthony Kamah Flomo respectively.
