LIBERIA’S LISCR FC TO TRAVEL WITH 50 FANS TO FACE SIERRA LEONE’S BO RANGERS IN CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 1st LEG FIXTURE

Date:

MONROVIA – Liberia’s current champions for the country’s 1st Division soccer league, LISCR FC, have announced they will be travelling with 50 of their loyal supporters to honor the club’s 2023-24 CAF Champions League first qualifying round first leg encounter with Sierra Leone’s Bo Rangers Football Club.

The Liberians are paired against their Sierra Leonean counterparts in the first round of the 2023-24 CAF Champions League qualifiers, which first leg is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 19 August 2023, in Sierra Leone’s second largest city, Bo Waterside. Game time is 4 PM GMT.

Following the first leg encounter slated to take place at the Bo Rangers FC-owned 6,000 capacity Southern Arena Stadium, the Liberian side nick named “Shipping Boys”, will on 27 August 2023, welcome the Sierra Leoneans at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex, located in Liberia’s largest city, Paynesville, outside the nation’s capital, Monrovia.

LISCR FC, which had earlier on in July of this year withdrawn from the 2023 West Africa Championship Cup due to administrative reasons, and have since continued preparations for their CAF Champions League assignment, announced today that 50 of its supporters will travel with the team to Sierra Leone, with the club shouldering all travel expenses including lodging and feeding.

The Liberian Division-One side also announced that supporters traveling with the club will each receive free of charge, a LISCR FC Fan Club souvenir shirt.
