MINISTER GIDDINGS’ INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS EARN PRAISE FROM FORMER SENATOR JALLAH

Date:

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – Public Works Minister Roland Layfette Giddings is receiving high praise for his efforts in advancing Liberia’s infrastructure, with former Senate Pro-Tempore and ex-Senator of Gbarpolu County, Hon. Armah Zulu Jallah, commending his leadership in road and bridge construction.

In a statement issued on Monday, March 31, 2025, Jallah described Minister Giddings as a driving force behind Liberia’s ongoing infrastructure transformation. He highlighted the groundbreaking of the Kpayaquelleh Bridge, a project set to connect Bong and Gbarpolu counties, as a significant milestone in the government’s plan to strengthen national road networks and facilitate economic integration.

Jallah noted that the bridge is being constructed along the Kpayeakolleh to Dokerta road, a project he initially championed. He emphasized the importance of this development in promoting national unity and improving trade and mobility for thousands of Liberians.

Beyond major bridge construction, Jallah also applauded the Ministry of Public Works for launching the Community Gravel Road Project, which is enhancing road accessibility in several parts of the country. The project’s first phase covers roadworks in multiple communities, including Duazon Turning Point Junction, GSA Compound Cement Hill Road, and Thinker’s Village Guest House Road, among others. The initiative also includes installing 100 culvert lines and rehabilitating drainage systems to mitigate flooding during the rainy season.

Jallah urged other government officials to follow Minister Giddings’ example of proactive leadership and commitment to development. He emphasized that the minister’s work is not only advancing the Boakai administration’s agenda but also setting a new benchmark for efficiency in governance.

“Minister Giddings’ dedication to infrastructure development is commendable, and I encourage continued progress at the Ministry of Public Works for the benefit of all Liberians,” Jallah stated.
