PRINCE C. JOHNSON III REFLECTS ON 18 YEARS OF SERVICE AND HISTORIC POLITICAL TRANSITIONS IN LIBERIA

MONROVIA – In an exclusive statement, Prince C. Johnson III, a highly respected retired officer of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL), expressed his gratitude for nearly 18 years of dedicated service to the people of Liberia. Having held all three senior positions within the armed forces, Johnson reflects on the opportunities and challenges he encountered during his illustrious career.

Johnson served as the Brigade Commander/Commanding General, Deputy Chief of Staff, and Chief of Staff/Chief of Defense Staff, commanding respect and admiration from his colleagues and subordinates. During his tenure, Johnson had the privilege of witnessing two successful democratically elected governments in Liberia. In 2018 and 2024, expansive democratic transitions took place, showcasing the progress and stability of the nation. Expressing his gratitude and appreciation, Johnson acknowledged the pivotal role played by the nation’s leaders. He thanked former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, President George Weah, and the current President/Commander-In-Chief Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr., for their support and guidance throughout his career.

Johnson also took the opportunity to express his deepest appreciation to the Ministry of Defense staff, service personnel, and dependents for their unwavering dedication, loyalty, and the sacrifices they made to ensure the mission’s success.
