Community female soccer side SPARTAN FC is eyeing qualification to the Liberia Football Association (LFA) women’s lower division league following a hard-fought 1-0 win over FAlCONESS on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the SKD practice pitch in Paynesville.

The match was a reschedule one which was cut off a few weeks ago due to alleged unprofessional officiating by the referee.

The Bardenersville female-based side SPARTAN FC was in the lead 2-0 when the match was cut off.

Skipper Hawa Donzo’s strike from a Ramanth Reeves assists gave SPARTAN FC the lone goal in the 54th minute of the match which eventually separated both sides.

Shot stopper Grace B. Young was outstanding between the stick for the young and promising female side SPARTAN FC following several goal attempts by their opponent FALCONESS in a competitive showpiece.

SPARTAN FC sits second on the 8-team log in the league, winning five of their seven matches with two draws ahead of the league’s second phase which is expected to begin this weekend.
