PRESIDENT JOSEPH BOAKAI MEETS US GOVERNMENT DELEGATION

MONROVIA – During the meeting, President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. warmly welcomed the United States delegation to Liberia. The grand hall was filled with an air of anticipation as the two nations came together to discuss matters of mutual interest and cooperation.

President Boakai expressed his gratitude for the United States’ continued support and friendship. He emphasized his commitment to strengthening the bilateral relationship and working towards shared goals.

Ambassador Linda Thomas Greenfield conveyed greetings and well-wishes from President Joe Biden and his administration, highlighting their eagerness to deepen ties with Liberia. She praised President Boakai’s vision for progress and expressed the United States’ commitment to assisting Liberia in various sectors, such as education, healthcare, and economic development.

The USAID delegation, led by Dr. Samantha Carter, presented their plans for collaborative projects aimed at uplifting the Liberian population. They emphasized their focus on education and vocational training, as well as healthcare initiatives to improve access and quality of medical services.

The meeting also focused on strengthening Liberia’s democratic institutions and promoting good governance. The delegation expressed their commitment to assisting Liberia in conducting free and fair elections, upholding the rule of law, and combating corruption. President Boakai welcomed this assistance, emphasizing the importance of transparent and accountable governance for the nation’s progress.
