TRAGIC LOSS FOR LIBERIAN PRESS UNION AS FORMER ASSISTANT SECRETARY GENERAL HENRY FLOMO PASSES AWAY

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Liberian Press Union is mourning the loss of one of its esteemed members, Henry Flomo, who tragically passed away while conducting a training workshop in Nimba County. Flomo, the former Assistant Secretary General of the Union and the Director of Communication of the National Election Commission collapsed suddenly during the workshop and could not be revived despite immediate medical attention.

Eyewitnesses present at the scene recounted the heartbreaking moment when Flomo collapsed, sending shockwaves through the gathering. Efforts to resuscitate him were made as he was swiftly rushed to the hospital, but, sadly, he could not be saved.

Henry Flomo was a dedicated and passionate individual who made significant contributions to both the Liberian Press Union and the National Election Commission. His commitment to promoting press freedom and ensuring transparent electoral processes in Liberia earned him respect and admiration from colleagues and peers.
