60-YEAR-OLD MAN ARRESTED FOR ALLEGED MURDER OF GIRLFRIEND IN GARDNERVILLE

MONROVIA – A 60-year-old man is currently in Liberia National Police (LNP) custody after allegedly killing his 20-year-old girlfriend on Saturday, June 1, 2024, in the Chocolate City Community of Gardnerville, District #13, Montserrado County. The incident occurred around 4 AM.

According to eyewitnesses, the alleged perpetrator, Augustine Godly, and the deceased lived separately. They were connected through the deceased’s aunt, whose name was not disclosed to our reporter. The aunt played a significant role in introducing and facilitating the relationship between the two.

Godly was arrested by the Liberia National Police just before noon. The body of the deceased has been deposited at Redemption Hospital in New Kru Town, with several injuries reported. Full details are pending as the investigation continues.
