BONG COUNTY, LIBERIA – A 58-year-old man identified as Kokulo Kpaquoi who killed his wife in the vicinity of the Massaquoi’s Farm between electoral District #3 and Electoral District#5 has admitted to the killing in Bong County.
Kokulo Kpaquoi told Police investigators and the media that he murdered his wife, Nowai Yarkpawolo Dennis, age 63 after she reportedly mismanaged his cane juice money in the tone of five hundred Liberian Dollars (LD 500) in the County.
The alleged murderer, who is a farmer, has been charged by Liberia National Police with murder under section 14. 1 of the new panel Law of Liberia and forwarded to the 9th Judiciary Circuit Court by the Crime Services Division of the LNP Bong County Detachment.
Victim Nowai Yarkpawolo Dennis was discovered on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, lying in a pool of blood with deep multiple wounds around her kitchen on their farm in the County.
After the discovery, a 15 – man jury was quickly ordered to observe the lifeless body of the victim, with the findings detailing that suspect Kpaquoi allegedly cuts the neck of victim Nowai Yarkpawolo, from the back resulting in her untimely death.
The 15- man coroner jury noticed that Nowai Yarkpawolo Dennis’ neck was deeply cut, and a wound on her right hand, head, and her ear with cuttles.
Therefore, the jury’s concluded that the late Nowai Yarkpawolo Dennis died as the result of foul play with multiple wounds on her body.
Suspect Kokulo Kpaquoi’s action instated fear in many women in Massaquoi’s Farm and nearby villages thereby calling on the Ministry of Justice and its partners to fast-track the case in other for justice to be served.
Meanwhile, the murder of Nowai Yarkpawolo Dennis on Tuesday brings to two domestic-related deaths less than a week in Bong County after another farmer killed his wife in a disagreement over bush meat.
