In a Press Release issued on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, the Association says the donation is part of its media development program which represents the organization’s overarching goal of empowering Liberian Journalists by providing them the logistical support and training necessary to effectively perform their reportorial duties.

The donation, which will take place at the offices of the Center for Media Studies and Peace Building (CEMASP) in Monrovia at 12 noon on Thursday, February 9, 2023, will bring together representatives of the institutions expected to benefit.

According to the ALJA release quoting the organization’s National President Joe Mason, “the bulk of the donation will go to community radio stations in different parts of the county to help in their reportorial duties as they prepare for the Presidential and General elections scheduled for October this year,” Mr. Mason thanked ALJA members and as well as friends and partners of the Association for making the donation possible.

The Association says Media institutions benefiting from the donation include radio stations in Bomi, Grand Cape Mount, Gbarpolu, Sinoe, Grand Bassa, Rivercess, Nimba, Grand Kru, Bong, and Maryland Counties.
