CDC YOUTH LEAGUE ACCUSES VICE PRESIDENT KOUNG OF ORCHESTRATING ILLEGAL ORGAN HARVESTING RING

Date:

MONROVIA – The National Youth League of the opposition Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) has made a startling allegation, accusing Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung of masterminding a brutal organ trafficking scheme operated through his private E&J Hospital in Ganta, Nimba County. In a statement issued on Friday, May 9, 2025, under the mandate of the CDC’s National Executive Committee, the Youth League described the exposé as “truth emerging from the shadows of criminal deception.”

The CDC Youth League claimed that Dr. Peter George, former chief surgeon at E&J Hospital, acted as a central figure in what it labeled a “barbaric and illegal organ extraction syndicate.” The League alleged that the so-called “free surgeries” offered at the hospital in 2020 were a deadly ruse used by Vice President Koung to lure innocent Liberians into a trap that resulted in their kidneys being removed without consent.

“The CDC National Youth League wants the world to know that these free surgeries were not acts of compassion, but wicked plots to exploit poor Liberians for wealth and demonic power,” the statement read.

The League further alleged that Victor Kpaiseh, now Deputy Director at the Forestry Development Authority (FDA) and then-administrator of E&J Hospital, helped coordinate what it termed “these demonic operations.” According to the Youth League, Dr. George performed unauthorized kidney removals under Koung’s orders, violating both medical ethics and basic human decency.

“The CDC National Youth League maintains that Dr. George’s involvement in this savage betrayal was directed from the highest level of political power, with Koung using his position to shield the conspiracy in plain sight,” the statement emphasized.

One individual named by the League as a courier in the alleged scheme is Yeakeh Sayequee, currently Operations Manager at the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC). According to the League, Sayequee transported harvested organs to Europe and other destinations for sale, referring to him as the “courier of death.”

In their account, the Youth League claimed that Dr. George eventually resigned in fear after realizing the full scale of the alleged atrocities. “When Dr. Peter George realized the depth of evil he had become part of, he chose to walk away—but by then, the damage had been done, with countless lives ruined,” the League asserted.

The Youth League claimed it had located at least two of the victims in District #4, Nimba County, and suggested that many more remain silent due to fear and stigma. “The CDC National Youth League is now calling for all victims to rise above fear and shame. The silence must end—truth must prevail.”

In a passionate call to action, the League urged victims to come forward, the international human rights community to launch an immediate investigation, and the Liberian Ministry of Justice to abandon political favoritism and pursue justice through a tribunal process.

“We will not rest,” the Youth League declared. “There will be no peace for killers in power. Vice President Koung must be remembered not as a statesman, but as a blood-drenched butcher in a suit.”

The League concluded by announcing plans for a sustained national and international campaign demanding full reparations for victims and the prosecution of everyone involved. “The CDC National Youth League will occupy, expose, and resist until justice rains like thunder,” it warned.
