LIBERIA – Some members of the Congress for Democratic (CDC), one of the three original members of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) says their attentions have been drawn to recent publications on various social media platforms that the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) recently held its 7th National Convention.
The group calling themselves Disenchanted CDCians described the convention as an “Embarrassment and mockery” of the values of democracy.
The Disenchanted CDCians Movement in a press release today categorically rejects such “Falsehood” and termed it as a “Criminally orchestrated program organized by corrupt, dishonest, and evil-minded power greed partisans.”
“Where in the World a political party will in broad daylight choose to compromise the fundamental doctrines that she claims to ascribe to? The Mulbah K. Morlu acting leadership chose to nicodemusly announced the conduct of what it termed the 7th National Convention ” a staged managed process intended to retain few selfish individuals in power perpetually.
Without much to say now, “We want to call on those who planned this undemocratic and demonic Program to cancel what they did and plan a proper National Convention.”
Few things should be considered at a real convention, the press release says; that an audit of past operations of the party is conducted, that a performance report from the previous leadership be made, and that an analysis of the institution’s operations also be conducted
The group notes that it believes that the party, the Congress for Democratic Change(CDC) should muster the courage to operate according to its fundamental core values of advancing the tenants of democracy at all times.
“We will not allow lazy and power-greed folks to seize power and attempt to turn the revolutionary credentials of the CDC into a dictatorial hegemony”, the release says while terming the 7th National Convention of the CDC “illegal and a total misrepresentation of the true essence of the party.’
