FORMER LBS DIRECTOR GENERAL ESTELLE LIBERTY KEMOH REFUTES ALLEGATIONS OF FINANCIAL MISCONDUCT

Date:

MONROVIA – Former Director General of the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS), Estelle Liberty Kemoh, has lodged a formal complaint against the current LBS Director General, Eugene Fahngon, to the Minister of Information, Jerolinmek Piah. Kemoh alleges that Fahngon has made baseless accusations against her and her colleagues, claiming they squandered financial resources and left the broadcasting entity in a deplorable state.

Kemoh, representing her former management team, asserted that Fahngon’s allegations are severe and not only threaten their reputations and integrity but also aim to damage their hard-earned characters both nationally and internationally. She strongly refutes Fahngon’s claim that the former management team misappropriated over US$100,000.

On May 15, Fahngon accused the previous management of financial mismanagement and neglect, leaving LBS in poor condition. In response, Kemoh and her team have denied these allegations, emphasizing their commitment to transparency and accountability during their tenure. They are seeking intervention from Minister Piah to address the accusations and protect their reputations.
