HOLLOW RHETORIC: UNVEILING THE CAMPAIGN SHOW

Date:

In this campaign circus, another round we go,

Politicians making promises, putting on a show.

Beware, for these words they profess,

Built on empty premises, causing much distress.

They come with smiles, spreading false tales,

Luring us with promises, like ships with tattered sails.

Greedy and selfish, their intentions concealed,

Egocentric ideals, their only driving field.

They’ll be free-handed, digging out goodwill,

Offering moneys, rice, free rides at the wheel.

They’ll deceive thee by these deceptive charms,

After you vote, they’ll vanish without alarm.

They’ll vow to fight for you, your rights to defend,

Give them votes, only broken promises they’ll send.

The dreams they paint will fade into thin air,

Leaving you frustrated, burdened with despair.

Then for many years, we’ll bear the weight,

Of empty words spoken, like an unending freight.

Their promises will remain but an illusory scheme,

Leaving us stranded, stuck in their same old game.

Be not swayed by that false campaign display,

Stand firm and see through their cunning array.

Demand accountability, truth, and real change,

Rise above hollow promises, a future to arrange.

In these campaigns, they dance the same old song,

Assuring progress, we’ve waited for too long.

Their rephrased rhetoric lacks any substance,

Oh, and there, again, we go into decadence.

Enough with the theatrics, let’s see actions speak,

Demanding strong leaders who’ll not tweak.

The time has come to choose a path that’s just,

The moment is now, to choose leaders we trust

No more sweet-talk, we crave sincere dedication,

Not hollow words, but true transformation.

With conviction and courage, we’ll pave our way,

To a brighter future, where hope and progress stay.

We must rise together, united we’ll stand,

Against empty promises, a resolute band.

The power lies with us, the voters, to decide,

A trusted breed of leaders, we must decide.
