A report reaching Smart News Liberia says three men allegedly carrying weapons including a firearm in Duazon, lower Margibi County have been arrested.
According to the report, residents of the Duazon community, particularly District #1, lower Margibi County, arrested the three unknown men and turned them over to the officers of the Liberia National Police detachment in the county.
The Chairman of the community Mr. Steven Miller informed newsmen that the unknown armed men were arrested and turned over to the LNP because, according to him, the police are the rightful authority to handle such a matter.
It has been alleged that the three men have confirmed that the gun was given to them by another person who they failed to identify.
Meanwhile, LNP has not issued an official statement regarding the arrest of the armed men.
