REP. YEKEH KOLUBAH: VP JEWEL HOWARD TAYLOR WILL REGRET IF…

Date:

MONROVIA – Yekeh Kolubah, the Representative of District 10 Montsurrado County has warned in the strongest tone Vice President, Chief Dr Jewel Howard Taylor not to get involved in his district politics, and if she does, he said the VP will feel the bad side of him.

Recently, the Vice President endorsed the former Inspector General of Commerce Josephine W. A. Davies, as a representative candidate in District 10, ahead of the forthcoming election.

Davies, a member of the ruling Coalition Democratic Change (CDC) ambition to win the forthcoming election got a boost following the vice president’s endorsement as her preferred candidate.

But at a press conference today, Rep. Yekeh, the opposition Alternative National Congress (ANC) lawmaker didn’t mince his words, accusing the VP of dirty politics in his district and for which threatening to expose the VP’s hiding secrets.

“I challenged you, VP Taylor, to organize another meeting again.”

Though the tough-talking lawmaker didn’t state during the press conference what the VP said during her meeting with Madam Davies at her residence, but said he will expose the VP if she organizes a similar meeting with Madam Davies again.

“I am not against the VP having a meeting with Madam Davies. I do not have a problem either with the Vice President endorsing my political opponent but if… then I will be pushed talk some nasty things…,” Rep Yekeh said.

He continued: “VP Taylor, District number 10 politics don’t get involved… I believe in dirty politics. I will have no regrets to drag you in the mud.”

For months, Montserrado County District 10 has become one of the ruling CDC targets – and by all means, seeking to remove current incumbent Yekeh Korluba because of the lawmaker’s strong tone against the President.

The lawmaker is considered by the ruling CDC followers an enemy of President Weah. The Montserrado County District 10 lawmaker has never minced his words against the Weah-led administration accusing the President and some top officials of corruption and bad governance practices.

He has always during interactions with the media, described President Weah as a disgrace to the country.
