SENATOR CONMANY WESSEH EXPRESSES SADNESS OVER CITIZENS INSECURITY ACROSS LIBERIA

MONROVIA – River Gee County Senior Senator Conmany B. Wesseh has expressed sadness over the insecurity of peaceful citizens across Liberia, with emphasis on the danger and risk associated with unlawful acts creeping into a democratic national ahead of the Presidential and Legislative Elections of this year.

Senator Wesseh a ranking member of the Liberian Senate’s Standing Committee on Defense, Security, Intelligence, and Veterans Affairs, mentioned during the 13th Day Sitting, 6th Session of the 54th Legislature in which the Liberian Senate constituted itself into a committee of a whole for the purpose of engaging the Minister of Justice, Frank Musa Dean and the Police Director, Patrick Sudue, to respond to inquiry for the multiple attacks on former Chief Justice, Cllr. Gloria Musu-Scott’s home in which her daughter was killed recently.

The situation which Senator Wesseh including colleagues termed as a total wickedness and embarrassment to the Government of Liberia in general, and called for vote of no confidence in the two senior officials of government. Added, the International Community had played a significant role in keeping the peace that we are enjoying, but harassment, and attack on peaceful citizens are becoming the order of the day.

At the same time, Senators Zoe Pennue of Grand Gedeh, Prince Moye of Bong, Augustine Chea of Sinoe , Saah Joseph of Montserrado , Jonathan Boycharles Sogbe of River Gee , Gble-Bo Brown of Maryland, J. Million Teahjay of Sinoe and Daniel Naatehn of Gbarpolu counties expressed frustration in the state security system.

Meanwhile, the hearing continues next week Tuesday as the officials remained under oath.
