SUPREME COURT SUMMONS HOUSE LEADERSHIP IN KOLUBAH CASE, SETS APRIL 29 HEARING

By Staff Writer | Smart News Liberia

MONROVIA – The Supreme Court of Liberia has formally cited the leadership of the House of Representatives to appear for argument in a legal matter filed by Montserrado County District #10 Representative Yekeh Y. Kolubah.

According to an official Notice of Assignment issued from the Chambers of Justice Kaba during the Court’s March Term A.D. 2026, the case is scheduled to be heard today, Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.

The writ names the House of Representatives, acting through Speaker Richard Nagbe Koon, Deputy Speaker Thomas Fallah, the Chief Clerk, the Sergeant-at-Arms, and all persons operating under their authority as respondents in the matter.

Representative Kolubah, identified in the court filing as the informant, has brought a Bill of Information before the nation’s highest court, seeking judicial intervention in an ongoing dispute involving the House leadership.

The Supreme Court directed Brigadier General Amos B. Kesseh Dickson Sr., Marshal of the Supreme Court of Liberia, or his deputy, to notify all parties and ensure their appearance at the scheduled hearing.

A Bill of Information is a legal remedy commonly used to inform the Supreme Court that one of its previous rulings, mandates, or legal principles may have been violated, ignored, or improperly interpreted by a lower body or public authority.
