TRAGIC INCIDENT: MAN ALLEGEDLY BEATEN TO DEATH BY LEC POWER THEFT TEAM IN CALDWELL

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – A somber incident unfolded in Caldwell, New Georgia, as Joecephus S. Tukpeh was purportedly beaten to death by members of the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) power theft team on March 1, 2024. The tragic event occurred at 2 pm when Tukpeh’s house was accused of power theft, sparking a confrontation that ultimately led to his untimely demise, despite seeking refuge at a neighbor’s residence.

The altercation escalated to a fatal level, with Tukpeh’s life tragically cut short. Following the incident, the power theft team swiftly transported Tukpeh’s body to a nearby clinic, where medical professionals pronounced him dead upon arrival.

In a disturbing turn of events, the power theft team reportedly absconded from the scene following the confirmation of Tukpeh’s passing. This heartbreaking turn of events has left the community in shock and mourning as they come to terms with the loss of Joecephus S. Tukpeh in such distressing circumstances.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding Tukpeh’s death, seeking justice for the victim and answers for his grieving loved ones.
