WAEC-LIBERIA ANNOUNCES COMMENCEMENT OF WASSCE EXAMS FOR OVER 50,000 STUDENTS

Date:

MONROVIA – The West African Examinations Council (WAEC-Liberia) has announced the commencement of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for 12th graders this Wednesday, May 15, 2024. Over 50,000 students from across Liberia’s 15 counties are expected to participate in the public exam.

The examination period for 12th graders will run from May 15 to June 5, 2024, in all parts of the country. WAEC-Liberia’s Communications Director, Prince Nagbe, disclosed this information on Tuesday, confirming that all preparations are complete for the administration of the exam.

In addition to the 12th graders, 9th, 6th, and 3rd graders are also scheduled to sit for their respective WAEC exams across the country. Nagbe called on all 12th grade students to adhere to the measures set by WAEC to ensure the smooth administration of the tests.

Nagbe emphasized the importance of compliance with the examination guidelines, urging students to maintain discipline and focus during the exam period. The successful administration of the WASSCE is crucial for the academic progression of the students and the overall educational standards in Liberia.

The commencement of the WASSCE marks a significant milestone for students, educators, and the nation, underscoring the continued efforts to promote education and academic excellence in Liberia.
