BREAKING: PRESIDENT-ELECT OF PRESS UNION OF LIBERIA RESIGNS AMIDST LEGAL BATTLE, ACTIVITIES OF PUL LEFT DORMANT

Date:

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The president-elect of the Press Union of Liberia, Daniel Nyakonah, has resigned from his position amidst a legal battle that has left activities of the Press Union of Liberia dormant. The resignation comes after his rival, Julius Kanubah, took the matter to court, claiming that the election was marred by irregularities.

Mr. Nyakonah made the announcement on Friday in front of a gathering of PUL members. In his statement, he mentioned that he decided to step down in order to save the image of the Press Union of Liberia. The legal dispute has put the PUL in a difficult position, and Mr. Nyakonah believed that his resignation would help restore credibility to the organization.

The resignation of the president-elect has further complicated the already tense situation within the Press Union of Liberia. It remains to be seen how the PUL will navigate through this challenging period and ensure that its activities resume smoothly.
