HARVARD UNIVERSITY INVITES FORMER PRES. WEAH TO ADDRESS AFRICAN LAW ASSOCIATION AND AFRICA CAUCUS….

Date:

The Harvard African Law Association and the Africa Caucus have extended an invitation to former President George Weah to speak at the prestigious Africa Development Conference (ADC) at Harvard University on the 12th and 13th of April 2024.

This event will bring together influential figures like Rwandan President Paul Kagame, Kenyan President William Ruto, African Development Bank President Akinwumi Adesina, and Former Credit Suisse CEO Tidjane Thiam to discuss progressive policies and forge partnerships for Africa’s development on the international stage.

With over 500 attendees expected, including more than 50 industry leaders as speakers, the ADC serves as a platform for crucial conversations that will help shape the future of the continent.

The organizers emphasized President Weah’s role in strengthening democracy in Liberia through significant reforms, making him an ideal speaker for the event. They highlighted his advocacy for good governance, accountability, and transparency, as well as his commitment to promoting democracy and the rule of law in Africa.

President Weah’s dedication to transformative leadership, evidenced by his efforts to ensure a democratic transition at the end of his tenure, serves as an inspiring example for democracy in Africa.

His insights are anticipated to bring a valuable perspective to the discussions at the conference, enriching the dialogue on key issues facing the continent and beyond, according to report.
