MONROVIA, LIBERIA – President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has stepped down from his role as Chairman of the Joseph N. Boakai Foundation. In an official letter to his fellow board members, he attributed his resignation to the demands of his duties as President of Liberia and the necessity to concentrate on both national and international affairs.

“As President of the Republic of Liberia, my responsibilities require my undivided attention to state matters at both local and global levels,” President Boakai stated. He took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the Board and staff of the Foundation for their commendable efforts in delivering humanitarian aid and enhancing the lives of Liberians.
