MLB CHAIRMAN ACCUSES SPEAKER FONATI KOFFA OF EMBEZZLEMENT AND CALLS FOR CHANGE

Date:

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – Mr. ChuChu Alex Jones, Chairman of the Movement to Make Liberia (MLB), an international Liberian think tank and pressure group, has accused Liberia’s current Speaker, Cllr. J. Fonati Koffa, of embezzling significant wealth from the Liberian people over the years.

Describing Koffa’s attitude as reminiscent of ‘Old Testament Justice’, Jones expressed his intentions to discuss the Speaker’s recent house fire and the 2024 draft national budget currently under legislative review on the “Closing Argument” program.

In an interview with Smart News today, Jones didn’t specify how Speaker Koffa embezzled state funds but called for the retirement of Joseph Boakai, stating, “Retire Joseph Boakai now, if Liberia must move forward and develop.”

Jones also expressed a desire for a debate with Martin K. N. Kollie, whom he referred to as a “Young Generational Traitor,” accusing Kollie of being afraid to engage in national discussions. He labeled Kollie a “Chicken” and criticized several other prominent figures, including former President George Weah, ANC political leader Alexander Cummings, Human Rights activist Cllr. Tiawon Gongloe, Bomi County Senator Edwin M. Snowe, and Front Page Africa Publisher Rodney D. Sieh, as well as media outlets like Focus On Liberia, SPOON TV LIVE, and SKTV.

According to Jones, these individuals and media institutions are avoiding genuine intellectual conversations essential for Liberia’s progress and development. He alleged that his outspoken stand against corruption has led these media outlets to ban him in favor of corrupt politicians and their supporters.
