URGENT APPEAL: SUPPORTING AILING MEDIA COLLEAGUES IN THEIR TIME OF NEED

Date:

MONROVIA – In times of adversity, solidarity and assistance are paramount. Today, an urgent appeal to all journalists across the country for aid for two esteemed members of the Press Union of Liberia (PUL), journalists Alex Yomah and Anthony Selmah, who are facing severe health challenges requiring immediate attention.

Journalist Alex Yomah, recently afflicted by a stroke, now faces a daunting medical expense totaling $1260. To kickstart his treatment, an urgent sum of US$500 is imperative. Simultaneously, journalist Anthony Selmah urgently requires US$500 for a critical operation addressing a severe private health issue.

In this regard, the caretaker President of the Press Union of Liberia (PUL), Mr. Akoi M. Baysah Jr., earnestly urges all professional colleagues and media proprietors to extend their generosity and support to these individuals in their time of need. Every contribution, regardless of size, will significantly impact their lives and aid in their journey to recovery.

Baysah emphasized that for those willing to offer assistance, please contact Alex Yomah at 0777490697 and Anthony Selmah at 07778868832/0886777389. Additionally, he noted that monetary contributions can be directed to 0886994802 under the name Oretha Bundoo.

“Your prompt response and empathy are deeply appreciated as we come together to support our colleagues in regaining their health and well-being,” Beysah emphasized. “Let journalists unite in this noble endeavor, confident that our collective efforts will alleviate suffering and foster healing for those in distress.”

In conclusion, he expressed his hope that journalists’ endeavors are blessed with abundance as they stand in solidarity with Alex and Anthony on their journey to recovery.
