POLICE INSPECTOR GENERAL ASSURES PROTECTION TO NIGERIANS IN LIBERIA

MONROVIA – Police Inspector General Gregory Coleman has assured Nigerians residing in Liberia of police protection as long as they remain within the confines of the laws of Liberia.

Inspector General Coleman emphasized that the protection of the rights of all those residing in Liberia is paramount to his administration. He made these remarks on Monday, May 13, 2024, during a courtesy visit by the Nigerian Community and Descendant Union in Liberia to the Headquarters of the Liberia National Police.

During the meeting, the President of the Nigerian Community and Descendant Union in Liberia, Harrison Eva Anikwu, expressed his group’s willingness to work with the police in fighting crimes. He emphasized that Nigerians are a proud people and will do nothing to undermine the peace of Liberia.

The assurance of police protection comes in the context of ensuring the safety and security of all residents in Liberia, including the Nigerian community. This commitment underscores the importance of collaboration between law enforcement agencies and community groups in maintaining peace and order within the country.
