By Aaron B Nemah

PLEEBO, MARYLAND – In a bid to encourage and support education in Liberia, the non-political organization known as the “Adolphus Bone Williams Platform” in Pleebo, Maryland County, has generously donated 250,000 Liberian Dollars to eleven high schools in the district. This donation aims to assist students who are currently undertaking the 2023/24 West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Addressing high school instructors, student leaders, and sponsors at his residence in Zone #2, Mr. Williams expressed his motivation for providing financial support to students during this crucial period. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that students have access to basic necessities like food, as it directly impacts their ability to concentrate and learn effectively.

Mr. Williams’ platform has a track record of significant contributions to the local community, with initiatives ranging from educational support to sports development. Despite speculation about his political ambitions, Mr. Williams clarified that his philanthropic efforts are driven solely by a desire to help humanity, not political motives.

Recently, Mr. Williams donated sixteen sets of jerseys and footballs to community members, facilitating their participation in the ongoing zone’s league. While some have questioned the motives behind his substantial contributions, Mr. Williams reaffirmed his commitment to serving humanity and urged citizens to refrain from politicizing his actions.

Additionally, Mr. Adolphus Bone Williams is known to be involved in gold mining activities at the Jlolah mining camp in Grand Kru County.

In response to Mr. Williams’ generosity, school instructors, sponsors, and student leaders expressed their gratitude and pledged to support his initiatives. They encouraged him to continue his efforts in advancing education and community development, promising to collaborate closely with his platform in the district.
