LIBERIA – A potential gradual of a secondary school in Liberia, has sat and passed a university entrance with distinction.
Eric Anders Bagguer Jr., 15, is a senior at a secondary school in Grand Gedeh County, only awaiting West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination results to graduate.
In advance of his high school graduation, he sat and passed the Tubman University placement exam and passed with a merit.
Eric wants to become a medical doctor but is forced to take the technical university exams in Harper City, Maryland County because there are no medical universities in the Southeast of Liberia.
Eric Anders Bagguer Jr is amongst 500 candidates that sat the University’s entrance exams.
“First I was afraid of going to sit for a big test, but when I got to the exam hall, saw the questions, I quickly remembered my studies back home and quickly put myself in order,” Eric notes
Born September 3, 2006, in the eastern city of Zwedru, Grand Gedeh, Eric told a Smart News interview he wants to study Biology and Chemistry. “I actually want to be a medical doctor, but may be hindered by lack of financial support.”
He appealed to philanthropic organizations and people of goodwill to help him achieve his goal.
He is a prospective graduate of the N. Nixon Garlo Lutheran School in Zwedru, who is awaiting the WASSCE exam results.
“I am grateful to God, my teachers at the N. Nixon Garlo High School, and my parents for their support”, he said.
He was however quick to appeal for a laptop, a smartphone, and graduation fees. Eric said he would appreciate a university scholarship journey.
