MARYLAND CO., LIBERIA – On June 1, 2024, the Harvesters Ministry Fellowship of Christian Assemblies Incorporated concluded a day-long leadership workshop themed “A Call For Us To Lead.” The training, held at the Central Church auditorium, convened twenty-four religious leaders, including the head pastor, Rev. James K. Dickson of AICA.
As a key facilitator, Head Pastor Rev. James K. Dickson emphasized the crucial role of effective leadership within churches, particularly in guiding God’s people. “The first description of mankind in the Bible involves leadership. God designed us to lead, to have authority, and to take dominion according to Genesis 1:26. You and I were born to lead,” he asserted.
Rev. Dickson further expounded on the concept, stating that being made in God’s image inherently implies a capacity for leadership. “Secondly, God gave humans authority over the whole Earth. And we should be comfortable in positions of authority,” he added. “God has given us His calling, and with your gifts and personality, you have the ability to lead in some areas.”
In a call to action, Rev. James K. Dickson urged Christians serving in positions within the church to uphold their leadership responsibilities diligently. “We must spearhead God’s people in and across the country,” he emphasized.
Expressing gratitude for the initiative, Madam Laura Copper, representing the group, commended the facilitators and pledged to utilize the knowledge gained from the workshop. She underscored the significance of the training, stating that it marks a significant milestone in their lives, and affirmed their commitment to fulfilling their roles within the church.
The conclusion of the leadership workshop signifies a renewed dedication among church leaders to embrace their calling and lead with wisdom and diligence.
