WITHERSPOON ACCUSED OF USING STOLEN FUNDS TO SWAY LIBERIAN ELECTION FOR BOAKAI

Date:

MONROVIA – In a recent development, serious allegations have been made against Stanton Witherspoon, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Spoon Network, for using lies against former President George Weah and his Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) party to ensure Joseph Boakai’s victory in the Liberian election.

Former Monrovia City Mayor Jefferson Koijee claims that Witherspoon allegedly used a network of radio stations, acquired with stolen funds from running fake nursing schools in the United States, to manipulate Liberians and propel Boakai to power. Witherspoon is facing prison time in the U.S. for operating fake nursing schools and issuing fraudulent certificates.

Koijee, a prominent figure in Liberian politics, accuses Witherspoon of being a convicted criminal. According to Koijee, Witherspoon used ill-gotten funds to establish radio stations in Liberia, misleading gullible Liberians into electing President Boakai, who Koijee claims is now driving the nation into the abyss.

Koijee further alleges that Witherspoon’s actions are a calculated move to exert control over the Liberian political landscape. He asserts that Witherspoon, being a convicted criminal, is strategically manipulating other individuals in the Boakai government to control the thinking of the Liberian leader.

These allegations raise questions about the credibility and integrity of both Witherspoon and President Boakai. The implications of these claims could potentially have far-reaching consequences for the political landscape in Liberia.

Koijee emphasizes that Boakai is knowingly dealing with a convicted criminal who has damaged the American healthcare system. He criticizes Boakai for not initiating an investigation into the fraud committed by Witherspoon and instead benefiting from his illicit gains.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as more information becomes available.
