CHIEF TAMBA TAYLOR’S GLOBAL RECOGNITION HIGHLIGHTS DEDICATION TO HUMANITARIAN EFFORTS

Date:

Chief Dr. Quinton Tamba Taylor de ’Alexander, a renowned designer and philanthropist, recently received the Global Impact Humanitarian Award. This recognition highlights his dedication to humanitarian efforts and commitment to making a positive difference in the world. One of his notable initiatives is shipping school supplies to children in Liberia and Nigeria.

This effort aims to provide essential educational resources to underserved communities, helping to bridge the gap in access to quality education. Supplying school bags, notebooks, pens, and other necessary items such as rice and beans to assist with providing healthy meals during challenging times is part of the initiative to meet the needs of underprivileged children.

Dr. de’ Alexander’s initiative will empower students to succeed academically and inspire them to pursue their dreams. His donations are in recognition of the celebration of Black History Month. This initiative has a significant impact, as it addresses the educational inequities many children in Liberia suffered. Providing these supplies supports their learning and boosts their confidence and motivation to excel in their studies.

Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing their central role in US history. Also known as African American History Month, the event grew out of “Negro Week”, the brainchild of noted historian Carter G. Woodson and other prominent African Americans.

This effort aligns with Dr. de’ Alexander’s broader mission of promoting respect, inclusion, unity, and diversity, ultimately contributing to the rebuilding of humanity. “I had a couple of barrels with school supplies and food already shipped and will be arriving shortly.

Once I get the teaching materials in hand, I’ll move forward with my plans to return to initiate a very special program to redirect the mindset of future Liberian entrepreneurs. I am also sponsoring another flow day with ‘Abigail David’ to support the less fortunate women of Liberia. It’s one of the reasons I just received the ‘Global Impact Humanitarian’ Award a few days ago from ‘Barvalee Bernstein Productions’, Chief Tamba Taylor narrated on his Messenger page, as he displayed the award.

Dr. de’ Alexander’s work exemplifies the power of philanthropy and the importance of giving back to the community. His dedication to improving the lives of others serves as an inspiration to many and underscores the profound impact that one individual can have on the world.

Chief Tamba Taylor, who has personally donated to various organizations, charities, and villages consistently since 2020, says returning to Liberia, he just couldn’t come home and not surprise a few of them with a small blessing of love. “As a leader, you should reach out and lift the people you love and serve …especially family.”

In the last three years, We Dream In Color Foundation has shipped multiple barrels of educational supplies, new clothing and shoes to various nonprofits, farm supplies and work boots, COVID-19 preventative supplies, delivered laptop computers, sponsored athletes in the Liberia Marathon, and assisted with school fees.

The Foundation continues to assist in the development of entrepreneurship skills programs. Other interventions include the completion of the construction of playgrounds in honor of the late Paramount Chief Tamba Taylor’, and a religious sanctuary. In 2019, Quinton launched the ‘BLUEPRINT’ Exhibit Tour and designed a program for At-Risk Youth” in the fall of 2020.

In December 2020, Quinton took his ‘We Dream In Color’ Humanitarian Celebration ‘International’ presenting the ‘We Dream In Color Foundation Incorporated Nelson Mandela Freedom Award’ to a Liberian native at The Historical Landmark Providence Island.

To his surprise, Quinton was blessed and honored to receive Chieftaincy, becoming Chief Tamba Taylor. In January 2021, wasting no time, Chief Dr. Quinton Tamba Taylor de’ Alexander adopted the Belenie Christian Foundation School System, providing book bags, computers, school supplies, and masks to empower the students of Monrovia, Liberia.

He also sponsored and established a playground in remembrance and honor of ‘Paramount Chief Tamba Taylor’, the We Dream In Color Computer Center, and a library on Belenie’s school campus for the children living in Liberia’s surrounding disadvantaged communities.

The mission continues in 2023, with Dr. de ‘Alexander’s pledge to build three additional ‘Chief Tamba Taylor’ community playgrounds in various disadvantaged communities throughout Liberia. Notable among schools and charity organizations that Chief Taylor has impacted, are the Life Preparatory Academy in Caldwell, Rev. Peter H. Nyemah School System in Liberia’s largest slum, in the enclave of West Point with payment of teachers ‘ six months salaries, the Bill Rogers Youth Foundation, Women for Positive Actions, Theola Bright Foundation, and the Liberia Athletics Federation. Others are the Orphans and Deaf Ministry Incorporated, the Quality Foundation Daycare and Educational Center, and the New Life In Christ Interdenominational Church.
