MONROVIA – The Ministry of Justice has issued a formal arrest order for the General Manager, Assistant Manager, and Human Resource Manager of Seth Ferro Fabrik Inc., following a criminal complaint alleging “reckless endangerment of human life.”
The arrest directive, dated September 3, 2025, and signed by Cllr. Richard T. Scott Jr., County Attorney for Montserrado County, empowers officers of the Liberia National Police to apprehend the named managers and ensure their appearance before the County Attorney’s office. The order instructs police to detain the individuals immediately and, if arrested after working hours, hold them at the nearest police depot until they can be presented the following business day.
According to the Ministry, the complaint was filed by a citizen, Mr. Josephus Parson, and arises from a reported workplace incident at Seth Ferro Fabrik Inc., a manufacturing and distribution company based in Monrovia. While the specific details of the alleged endangerment have not been made public, the Ministry’s prompt action indicates that preliminary findings or witness statements provided sufficient cause for legal intervention.
The charge of “reckless endangerment of the life of another person” is considered a criminal offense under Liberian law, carrying serious legal consequences if proven in court. The Ministry of Justice has emphasized that the matter will be handled in accordance with due process to ensure accountability and the protection of human life.
As of Thursday, police officers were reportedly preparing to execute the arrest order and bring the managers before the County Attorney’s office for questioning and possible formal charges.
