MONROVIA – A Liberian political party grounded in the historic tradition of Pan-African struggle and revolutionary nationalism, the Liberian People’s Party (LPP), has lauded the Government of Liberia (GoL) over the arrival of the first batch of government-procured earthmoving equipment in the country.
In a press release issued shortly after several pieces of yellow machines procured from China by the GoL arrived at the Free Port of Monrovia Sunday, 22 February 2026, the LPP said it was extending its revolutionary appreciation to the Government for the arrival of the first batch of earth-moving equipment dedicated to the development of farm-to-market roads across Liberia.
The LPP describes the arrival of the yellow machines in Liberia as a milestone, which it says represents more than machinery arriving on the shores of Liberia, adding that “it symbolizes movement toward economic emancipation, agricultural transformation, and rural empowerment.
“In a nation founded on resilience and African self-determination, infrastructure development remains central to national liberation and people-centered progress,” the LPP emphasized, recognizing this step by the administration of President Joseph Nyuma Boakai as a positive advancement in strengthening agricultural productivity and improving access for rural farmers to markets.
The LPP pointed out that farm-to-market roads are not merely pathways of transport, but are arteries of economic justice, connecting marginalized communities to opportunity, growth, and national inclusion.
As a political institution committed to Pan-African revolutionary ideals, the LPP says it believes that national development must rise above partisan divisions and that progress must never be held hostage to political rivalry or narrow interests.
“When actions benefit the Liberian people, patriotism demands that we acknowledge and encourage such efforts,” said the LPP, indicating that “Liberia’s transformation requires collective responsibility, visionary leadership, and the unwavering participation of its citizens.”
The LPP, in its press release, called on all Liberians, regardless of political affiliation, to embrace development initiatives that strengthen food security, empower rural communities, and advance national unity.
“We say bravo to the Government for this important first step. We further urge transparency, accountability, and sustained implementation to ensure that these equipment translate into tangible, lasting impact for our farmers and rural populations,” the LPP added.
Meanwhile, the LPP says it remains steadfast in its revolutionary commitment to a self-reliant, economically empowered, and united Liberia; a Liberia, the party says reflects the highest aspirations of Pan-African dignity and sovereignty.
