SOCIAL MEDIA INFLUENCER DR. VICKY GRAY ARRESTED OVER ALLEGED ASSAULT AT SINKOR’S CIGAR BAR

MONROVIA – Popular Liberian social media influencer Dr. Vicky Gray has reportedly been arrested in connection with an alleged assault incident at Cigar Bar on 19th Street in Sinkor, a development that has generated significant public attention due to her prominence on social media.

Court records indicate that the Monrovia City Court issued a writ of arrest against Gray and several other individuals after a private criminal complaint was filed by Stephen Weah, Joseph C. Weah Jr., and Emmanuel Buno over a confrontation that allegedly escalated into physical violence on June 21, 2026.

According to the complaint, the incident occurred during the early morning hours at the popular entertainment venue, where a dispute reportedly developed into a physical altercation involving multiple individuals.

The complainants alleged that they sustained bruises, scratches, and other bodily injuries requiring medical treatment as a result of the confrontation. Based on the allegations presented before the court, a writ of arrest was subsequently issued against Dr. Gray and others named in the complaint.

Sources familiar with the proceedings said sheriffs attached to the Monrovia City Court later took Dr. Gray into custody as part of the court’s preliminary enforcement process.

The allegations outlined in the complaint include aggravated assault, simple assault, menacing, criminal conspiracy, and disorderly conduct, all of which are offenses under Liberia’s Revised Penal Law.

The case has attracted widespread public interest because of Dr. Gray’s visibility as a social media influencer and public figure. Her arrest quickly became a topic of discussion across multiple online platforms, drawing reactions from supporters, critics, and followers.

While the allegations have generated considerable public attention, legal observers note that the issuance of a writ of arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Under Liberia’s legal system, the allegations must be investigated and tested through the judicial process before any determination of criminal responsibility can be made.

The matter has since been forwarded to the Liberia National Police for further investigation. Police investigators are expected to review witness statements, examine available evidence, and determine whether additional legal action may be warranted.

The referral of the case to the police indicates that authorities are seeking a broader examination of the circumstances surrounding the alleged altercation, including the actions of all individuals involved.

The Liberia National Police has not yet publicly announced its findings, and additional developments are expected as investigators continue their work.
