REP. KOLUBAH: PRESIDENT WEAH WANTS TO KILL ME…

Date:

LIBERIA – Rep. Yekeh Kolubah has alleged President George Weah wanted him killed went he traveled to the south-eastern county of Grand Gedeh recently; the tough-talking Montserrado County District 10 did not provide any evidence to his statement.

Rep. Kolubah addressing a press conference Tuesday said if the Weah-led government wants peace, he will help to maintain the peace in Liberia; adding he believes the President has a major role to play in all of the harassment he has been going through since he was elected to serve his people in the Legislature.

He recently warned the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) of President Weah during the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) “We Tiyah Suffering” rally held on December 17 that if the government shoot, they will shoot”.

The Montserrado County District 10 lawmaker recently posted on his social media, especially on Facebook displaying a huge number of batons he had brought into the country to arm a group of people he has organized to serve as private guards for the opposition, including himself…

He warned, “It should be clear that anyone who attacks me, I will also retaliate.”

Howbeit, during Tuesday’s press conference, Rep. Kolubah also recounted the uproar that ensued months back between the government and him when his wife was leaving the country, saying: “My wife was taking my two-week-old baby out of Liberia, and President Weah allegedly ordered the seizure of their passports.”

He continued: “The President gave the order under the pretense that my wife was running away with people’s babies… the president was instrumental in his plight to intimidate him up to the present.”
