LIBERIA – The Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) standard bearer says President George M. Weah’s State of the Nation Address yesterday was empty, and that the President did not say anything of substance to the Liberian people.
Alexander Cummings on his Facebook page said that the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) will today respond to President Weah’s SONA, which he described as “empty and uninspiring” last SoNA at the National Headquarters of the CPP on 19th street, Monrovia.
Yesterday, President Weah President George Weah delivered the State of the Nation Address at the National Legislature on Capitol Hill, Monrovia.
The address was the Liberian Leader’s sixth and last annual message since his inauguration in January 2018.
The State of the Nation Address delivered yesterday at the Capitol is in line with Article 58 of the Liberian Constitution.
Article 58 states that the President shall, on the fourth working Monday in January of each year, present the administration’s legislative program for the ensuing session, and shall once a year report to the Legislature on the state of the Republic.
