MONROVIA – The mysterious deaths of three persons in the Blamasee community in Brewerville outside Monrovia has caused shock and disbelief amongst residents. Emmanuel C. Okoro, Senefu Kemokai, and John F. Kemokai all died after allegedly eating fufu with some friends in the community.
Mark C. Okoro, father of deceased Emmanuel, received news of his son falling sick after consuming the food and rushed him to the hospital. Despite efforts to save him, Emmanuel was pronounced dead by doctors.
The Liberia National Police were called to investigate the deaths, but according to Mark Okoro, they failed to conduct a thorough investigation and allowed the families of the other two deceased boys, who were Muslims, to proceed with the burials.
Reports suggest that Weeyah Kemokai, mother of deceased Senefu, had also consumed the same fufu without experiencing any adverse effects. However, she is currently not in a stable state of mind following the deaths of her son and his friends, making it difficult for the Crime Watch Program to speak to her.
The community remains shaken by the unexplained deaths and is seeking answers to the mysterious circumstances surrounding them.
