LIBERIA: TRAGIC ACCIDENT CLAIMS SIX LIVES IN GRAND BASSA COUNTY

Date:

MONROVIA – In a devastating accident that has shaken Grand Bassa County, at least six lives were tragically lost in a collision between a taxi cab and a cement truck on Tuesday, April 16, 20254. The incident occurred on the road leading to Monrovia, with the cement truck heading towards Buchanan City.

The driver of the ill-fated taxi cab has been identified as Abel Flomo. What makes this tragedy even more heart-wrenching is the fact that Abel Flomo is the brother of Grand Bassa County’s 4th Electoral District Representative, Alfred Flomo.

The exact details of the accident are still under investigation, but preliminary reports suggest that the collision was severe, leading to the immediate loss of six lives. Among the deceased was a baby, adding to the profound sadness of this incident.

In addition to the fatalities, two other individuals sustained severe injuries in the accident. The current status of these injured individuals remains unknown, as no further information has been provided about their condition.

Following the accident, the injured were rushed to the Liberia Government Hospital in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, for treatment. Medical teams are working tirelessly to provide the necessary care to those affected by this tragic event.

The community is in mourning, and our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives in this tragic accident. As the investigation continues, authorities are urging all road users to exercise caution and adhere to traffic regulations to prevent further tragedies like this from occurring.
