A professional Liberian journalist based in Fargo, North Dakota, USA, and former Editor of the Inquirer Newspaper in Monrovia, will on Wednesday, 8th February 2023 hold an interactive session with students of the Departments of Political Sciences, History, Communication, and Media Studies of the Prof. Amos C Sawyer College of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Liberia.
The interactive session which takes place at the Thelma E. Duncan Sawyer Faculty Lounge in Fendall will be held under the theme: The American Electoral College: A Lesson for Liberia. The forum starts at 10:30 am and runs to 12:30 pm.
Chairman of the Freedom of Information Commission (FOI), and faculty of the Department of English and Language Studies, Political Science and Communication and Media Studies, Cllr. Mark Bedor-Wla Freeman will moderate the forum effectively and provides a brief overview, introduces the speaker, and facilitate the general discussion.
While the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Josephus M. Gray will be serving as a backup to simplify the nature of the discussion and helps create a positive atmosphere and defuse the unhealthy situation to ensure that the forum runs smoothly.
The visiting U.S.-based Liberian journalist’s presentation will be followed by questions from the students, staff, and faculty.
About 100 students and staff excluding faculty members are expected to attend the instructive academic.
Meanwhile, students of the College are strongly encouraged to attend and interact with the presenter.
