MORLU MOBILIZES FOR JULY 17 ‘ENOUGH IS ENOUGH’ PROTEST AGAINST BOAKAI GOVERNMENT

Date:

MONROVIA – Former National Chairman of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), Mulbah K. Morlu, has announced the formation of protest steering committees ahead of a planned nationwide demonstration scheduled for July 17, 2025, under the banner “Enough is Enough.”

In a public statement titled “Rise Up, Liberia! The Battle for Our Nation Begins,” Morlu disclosed that standing committees, including those for mobilization and recruitment, are already being organized to drive what he described as a national movement for change. He called on volunteers and civil society organizations to join the effort by serving as community, district, and county mobilizers.

A follow-up meeting to further establish the steering and standing committees is scheduled for Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 4 p.m. in Congo Town. Morlu encouraged interested individuals to participate actively, emphasizing that the protest is aimed at resisting what he characterized as “President Boakai’s tyranny, lawlessness, and betrayal of democracy.

He urged Liberians to stand up for justice, defend their rights, uphold the rule of law, and demand genuine judicial reform. According to Morlu, the protest seeks not just to challenge alleged corruption but to preserve Liberia’s democracy from what he claims is a growing threat under the Boakai administration

“Stand. Resist. Prevail,” Morlu’s statement declared, rallying supporters to what he described as a frontline battle for the country’s future. He concluded by warning that the movement’s goal is to “stop Boakai before he stops Liberia.”
