PUL MARGIBI CHAPTER MOURNS THE LOSS OF JOURNALIST PATRICK WESSEH

MARGIBI, LIBERIA – The Press Union of Liberia (PUL) represented by its Margibi Chapter expresses deep sadness over the passing of its member Journalist Patrick N. Wesseh.

On February 15, 2024, health workers at the 14th Military Hospital in Margibi County confirmed the demise of Journalist Patrick N. Wesseh, following a brief illness. Initially admitted to Kakata Health Center, Kakata city, Margibi County, he was later transferred to the 14th Military Hospital for further medical care, where, despite extensive efforts by professional health care workers, his life could not be saved.

Journalist Wesseh diligently worked as a reporter and Acting News Director at Radio Kakata, Talkshow Host at Classic FM and reporter – KMTV. He also served as a Correspondent for, Bana FM and Super Bongese Radio in Bong County, respectively. Prior to his demise, he also served as founding member and president of Margibi Young Journalists Association, Member Margibi Journalist Association.

The Press Union of Liberia, through its Margibi Chapter, extends heartfelt condolences to his family and the entire media community in Margibi and Liberia.

Known for his friendly lifestyle, Patrick Wesseh was deeply dedicated to his profession, serving as bacon of inspiration for numerous young individuals at Radio Kakata, Classic FM and beyond. He was, always eager to make substantial contributions to media institutions in Margibi – Liberia.

The Union invites all its members on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 11:00AM for a book of condolence opening at Classic FM in Kakata City, Margibi County.

The PUL calls on the general public, media organizations and Journalists, civil society organizations, local and national leaders to be present to pay their final respect to esteem media colleague Journalist Patrick Wesseh.
