CDCIANS ACCUSE NATHANIEL MCGILL AND SAMUEL TWEAH OF ALLEGEDLY STEALING THEIR REVOLUTION

Date:

LIBERIA – The election of President George Weah was a revolution trumpeted by the poor Liberian masses; but was stolen by a “Greedy Two”, according to some Liberians who spoke on a local radio called-in program Wednesday.

The program, ‘Facts vs Fiction, which is co-hosted on the Hot FM Radio by a former George Weah government official, Eugene Fagon, is taking the country by storm with its detailed inside stories on the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change and other political and social issues.

On Wednesday, the show was centered on the poor attendance of the Congress for Democratic Change’s 17th anniversary.

All the callers attributed the poor turn on the day to the alleged hijack of the government by the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Nathaniel McGill, and the Minister of Finance and Development Planning, Samuel Tweah.

Participants were called Lofa, Grand Gedeh, Nimba, Montserrado, Bong, and Margibi Counties.

Different callers had different stories on how CDCians are allegedly being ill-treated by the two cabinet ministers and other Weah inner circle.

They pointed out that the poor turnout on the day of celebration when President Weah was doing the Buga dance, was a protest against the government’s poor performance and the hijack of the government by Ministers McGill and Tweah who are considered the closest to Weah.

The callers also accused the two men of barricading and neutralizing the Liberian President for their personal aggrandizement.

The callers said President George Weah won by a popular Majority, “It was us the downtrodden that propelled him to power when the so-called literates did not want him. We were called all sorts of degrading names, yet voted for him. Today, two men from nowhere have used our votes to enrich themselves.

“But we will meet them at the polls again in 2023 and will show them our powers. As we voted them in, so we will vote them out in 2023”, they asserted.

According to the callers, they will vote Weah out of power, because giving him a second term will be giving Nathaniel McGill and Samuel Tweah a second term to abuse them and prolong their sufferings.
