MOH LAUNCHES 24/7 EMERGENCY AMBULANCE SERVICE NATIONWIDE

Date:

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Ministry of Health has announced the launch of a 24/7 Emergency Ambulance Service, aimed at providing urgent medical care to all Liberians. With the new service, citizens in need of emergency medical assistance can now call the toll-free number 5888 from any network to access an ambulance at any time, from any location.

The Ministry has ensured that ambulances are strategically placed at key health facilities across both urban and rural areas, guaranteeing widespread coverage and quicker access for all. This new initiative is designed to significantly improve emergency response times, offering timely care and transportation to individuals in critical condition.

The government is committed to enhancing the country’s emergency medical services as part of broader efforts to strengthen the healthcare system. This service aims to reduce preventable deaths by minimizing delays in medical interventions, ultimately saving lives and improving the overall healthcare experience for Liberians.
