MONROVIA, LIBERIA – Juli Endee, a prominent figure in Liberia’s cultural scene, broke down in tears at a press briefing today as she revealed that all charges against Prophet Key had been dropped by the court without her knowledge.
The emotional outburst came as a shock to many, as Endee the Liberian Culture Ambassador, who has been a vocal advocate for justice and women’s rights in Liberia is left perplex. She had been leading the charge against Prophet Key, who abused her and accused her of having sexual intercourse with former President Charles Taylor to obtain her appointed to the position of culture Ambassador.
The Liberian social media star has been living in Morocco and has been using his platform to abuse women and allegedly blackmail public officials. Upon his return to Liberia, Ambassador Endee took the opportunity to seek justice.
“I need justice,” Endee sobbed. “They dropped the charges against Prophet Key without informing me. This is a travesty of justice and I will not stand for it.”
Endee announced that she would be organizing a mass gathering of women tomorrow at the Executive Mansion, the office of the Liberian President to sit in and demand justice by force. She called on all women in Liberia to join her in the fight for accountability and transparency in the legal system.
Prophet Key’s lawyer has denied any wrongdoing on his client’s part and has welcomed the court’s decision to drop the charges. However, Endee remains steadfast in her quest for justice and has vowed to continue fighting for the rights of women in Liberia.
