ALLEGED INVOLVEMENT OF J MART IN PLOT TO REMOVE LIBERIAN HOUSE SPEAKER

MONROVIA – A foreign-owned furniture store in Liberia, J Mart, has been implicated in an alleged plot to remove Liberian House Speaker, Jonathan Fonati Koffa from his post. Reports suggest that J Mart may have cashed in on this plot by allegedly issuing cash coupons that were distributed to lawmakers for the removal of Cllr. Kofa. The cash coupons carry the store’s emblem.

War crimes investigators in Washington DC have expressed their awareness of these reports, indicating that the Joseph Biakai government in Liberia may be behind this scheme. The motive behind the government’s alleged involvement is believed to be Speaker Koffa’s role in establishing the war and economic crimes court.

The scheme was brought to light by Hon. Yekeh Kolubah of Montserrado District Number 10, who released a video exposing the plot. The video features a man, who appears to be a Lebanese national, admitting to the checks and acknowledging the signature on the cash coupon.

As of now, it remains unclear how J Mart became involved in allegedly financing a plot to remove the House Speaker. However, investigations are ongoing to uncover the full extent of their involvement and the motives behind their participation.

The alleged involvement of J Mart in this plot has sent shockwaves through Liberia’s political landscape. It raises questions about the extent of foreign interference and the potential consequences for the country’s democratic processes.

When an official of J Mart was contacted by phone early today, he said he was not the official spokesperson and said he was contacting his boss to respond to our inquiry. Investigation continues.
