FOUR-YEAR-OLD BOY RESCUED FROM SUICIDE ATTEMPT IN PLEEBO CITY, MARYLAND COUNTY

Date:

By Christian Appleton

MARYLAND COUNTY – In a deeply concerning incident, residents of Zone 2, Pleebo City, Maryland County, sprang into action to rescue a four-year-old boy, Isaac Weah, known as “Godstime,” from attempting to take his own life.

The event unfolded on the evening of July 29, 2024, around 6 p.m. Reports indicate that Godstime had previously attempted to harm himself, including jumping from a high table and placing himself in front of a moving motorcycle. These repeated attempts underscore the urgent need for mental health intervention and support for the young child.

Local authorities are currently investigating the situation to understand the underlying issues and to provide the necessary assistance to Godstime and his family. This incident brings to light the critical importance of mental health awareness and resources, especially for young children.

Community members, deeply shaken by the event, have expressed their commitment to ensuring that Godstime receives the help he needs. “We are all here to support him and his family,” said one resident. “No child should feel so desperate at such a young age.”

The authorities are urging anyone with information about the family’s circumstances to come forward as they work to secure appropriate mental health treatment for Godstime.

As this investigation continues, the community’s swift response and the ongoing support for the family reflect a strong sense of unity and compassion in the face of this tragic event.
