BISHOP PROF. RUDOLPH Q. KWANUE CHAMPIONS ACCESSIBLE EDUCATION IN LIBERIA

Date:

MONROVIA – The Rudolph Kwanue University College (RKUC) is based in Liberia and accredited by the country’s National Commission on Higher Education (NCHE); its Founder and President is an acclaimed educator, chancellor, philosopher, theologian, philanthropist, and a family man with a passion for education in his DNA.

For more than a decade now, he has been engaged in a wide range of activities aimed at providing free educational services to hundreds of people around the globe. At RKUC, he currently provides a 40% scholarship to more than 6,000 students in the first two years of their studies. He is doing this by maximizing his international connections to negotiate with partners to pay the cost of the 40% scholarship scheme. In addition to the 40% scholarship arrangement, he has also ensured that entrance and placement exams at the institution are free of charge. This means that our entrance and placement exams are administered free to all interested students enrolling at the Rudolph Kwanue University College.

Bishop Prof. Rudolph Q. Kwanue, Sr., a Liberian young man, is the brain behind all of these initiatives. He recently negotiated with two of his US partners to help provide financial aid to some of the students, where each of the two partners were able to provide US$50.00 to each of the students during the course of their two-year studies. The Ruth Foundation and The Root Brand are prepared to remit US$50.00 to any student whose name is submitted by the university’s administration to their office for possible financial aid. The Bishop decided to undertake this initiative in response to the outcry of students from impoverished backgrounds, who are finding it difficult to pay their fees.

In his drive to support education, especially for the thousands of Liberian high school graduates, the veteran educator and philanthropist has waived tuitions for a few of the faculties of the university, namely: the Faculties of Theology and Education, which encompasses the Department of Mass Communication. In other words, students wishing to enroll in any of the departments associated with these faculties will only pay for their registration/requirements and not tuition. Dr. Kwanue wants to raise qualified and sound theologians and educators in Liberia, Africa, and the world.

Interestingly, RKUC is recognized and affiliated with many top world-ranking universities around the world, meaning that any degree earned from RKUC is recognized not only by the Liberian Government, but also by the Government of the United States of America, through the California University Validation, the Governments of Cameroon, South Sudan, Somalia, and Namibia through the Kesmonds International University; by the Government of Zambia through Gideon Roberts University. Our university is also recognized by the Government of India through the Sandip and Subreddit Universities. Furthermore, the State Department of Education in Florida through the International Kingdom University and International University of Management and Administration in the Republic of Benin also covers the university with their accreditations.
