The family of Mr. Jackson has announced plans to hold a major press conference in Monrovia to address growing public concern surrounding the tragic death of his wife, Ntombikayise Innocentia Khumalo. The announcement, made in a formal statement released on April 1, 2026, signals a significant development in a case that has captured widespread attention.
According to the family, the press conference will take place today, Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the Temple of Justice, shortly after Mr. Jackson concludes a scheduled visit to the headquarters of the Liberia National Police. The exact time, they noted, will be determined following that engagement.
In the statement signed by Abenego C. Kofie, the family said the briefing will provide “clarity on the circumstances surrounding the unfortunate demise” of Toni Khumalo, whose death has raised serious questions and public speculation.
The family disclosed that they intend to present a detailed account of events beginning from the moment Khumalo was discovered in a pool of blood. They will also outline the medical response that followed, including her initial treatment at St. Joseph Catholic Hospital, where she reportedly remained for over six hours.
Further details are expected regarding her subsequent transfer to the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital, where she underwent a critical brain surgery. The procedure, according to the statement, was performed by Dr. Alvin Doe and his team.
While acknowledging the seriousness of the incident, the family firmly maintained Mr. Jackson’s innocence, expressing confidence that he would be cleared of any wrongdoing if the matter proceeds to court. “We firmly believe in Mr. Jackson’s innocence and remain confident that he will be adjudged not guilty before a court of competent jurisdiction,” the statement emphasized.
The family also highlighted Mr. Jackson’s cooperation with authorities, noting that he has been fully engaged with the Liberia National Police since the incident occurred. They reiterated his willingness to continue cooperating with investigators throughout the legal process.
