MONROVIA – The embattled political leader of the opposition Liberty Party, Senator Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence of Grand Bassa County, and Montserrado County Senator, Abraham Darius Dillion, and four others have been expelled from the Party.
Their explosion is based on a “conflict of interest.”
The party’s Chairman, Musa Hassan Bility in a communication on Friday, July 14, sent to the expelled former members accused Senator Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence of accepting the campaign chairman of the opposition Unity Party in contravention of the Liberty Party’s constitution.
The LP stated that Senator Karnga-Lawrence’s acceptance of the position as chair for the opposition Unity Party clearly signified that she has gone against the mission and vision of the Liberty Party.
As for Abraham Darius Dillion, the Liberty Party stated that his acceptance of the post of campaign chair for Montserrado County for the Unity Party also signifies that he no longer aligns with the Liberty Party.
Others expelled are former National Chairman, Steve Zargo, and partisan Prince Toles, for accepting to contest on the Unity Party in Lofa, and Montserrado Counties for Senatorial and Representative seats respectively.
Daniel Sando is expelled for consistently promoting the Unity Party manifesto rather than the Liberty Party in contravention of the party’s constitution.
While Jacob Smith is expelled for accepting the post of campaign liaison officer for the opposition Unity Party.
Ellen Johnson, Gbehzongar Findley, Alex Cummings, Amin Modad, Henry Costa, Nyonblee Karngar, Benoni Urey, Arnold Kandakai (land). What Do All These People Have in Common? They all trusted Joseph Boakai for years and worked with him – in good faith. In the end, they were all USED, DUPED, & DUMPED by Boakai. I suspect there may be many more. Those who choose to work with him today and think that tomorrow is certain, should go back and take another look at this list. Trusting Joseph Boakai has only one way to end…with your name being added to this already growing list. By the time you get to the point of “if I had known”, precious time and good amount of money have been wasted. The only thing you will be left with will be deep deep regret.
